Nothing is posted

Everything here is written work, and it is delivered electronically. Nothing is sent by post, nothing is printed and bound, and there is no delivery charge of any kind because there is nothing to carry.

The postal address at the head of this page is for correspondence and for the service of documents, including a notice of cancellation.

What arrives, and in what form

A finished piece is sent by email, or put in whatever shared drive you work from, in two forms: a document you can edit, and a plain version that pastes into a content management system without carrying formatting in with it. Headings, subheadings and the places for internal links are marked in both.

A title and a meta description are written with every piece and delivered with it. Where a piece needs a note about what should link to it, that comes with it too.

Where you have asked for publication rather than handover, the piece is placed on your own site instead: the same text, with its headings, its internal links and its meta description set as agreed. You approve the draft before anything goes live.

What does not arrive with it

Photographs, illustrations, diagrams and stock imagery are not part of any package, and neither are licences for them. Neither is technical work on your site: redirects, page speed, site structure and the rest belong to whoever looks after it.

Translation is not included, and neither is publication anywhere other than your own site. Nothing is submitted to a directory, a publisher or a third-party site on your behalf.

What you spend elsewhere is yours and is not inside these figures: your website, its hosting and its content management system, any imagery or software licences you want used, any advertising, and the time your own people give to the interview.

When it is due, and when the clock starts

Each package has its own turnaround, and it is counted in working days from the last of three things: the invoice being paid, the interview having taken place, and the material you have to confirm having come back. Two of those three are on your side, which is the honest reason a date cannot be fixed before a brief exists.

• Service Page Copy - 5 working days, for one service page of up to 1,000 words.
• Customer Case Study - 7-10 working days, for one case study of up to 1,500 words.
• Monthly Content Allocation - monthly, for three pieces a month of up to 1,200 words each.

If one of the three conditions is outstanding the clock has not started, and you are told which one rather than left to wonder. Where a piece is to be published rather than handed over, access to your site is a further condition on the publication step alone: the writing itself does not wait for it.

Working days are Monday to Friday, not counting public holidays in Scotland. If a date is going to be missed, you are told before it passes, with the new date and the reason.

If nothing arrives

Write to contact@seoexpert.space and say which piece and which date. Delivery is by email, and email goes astray: the first thing checked is whether it was sent and where it went, and a copy is sent again the same working day.

If the piece has genuinely not been written by the agreed date, and the delay is not down to something outstanding on your side, you may set a new date in writing, and if that is missed too you may end the commission and have back anything paid for work that has not been done.

Revisions, and what counts as one

Each package allows a set number of rounds of revision: Service Page Copy, one round; Customer Case Study, two rounds; Monthly Content Allocation, one round of each piece.

A revision is a change measured against the agreed brief - a fact corrected, a section that does not do what the outline said it would, wording that misstates your business. A change of subject, a change of reader, or a section that was never in the outline is a new brief, quoted before it is written rather than absorbed quietly.

Send a round of changes together: one reply with everything in it counts as one round, and a second reply afterwards counts as the next. Rounds are used within three months of delivery; after that a piece is treated as settled, which is not a limitation on any statutory right.

A round of revisions is normally returned within three working days of your reply.

The monthly allocation

The Monthly Content Allocation runs by calendar month at £1150 a month. The first month starts on the date named in your written confirmation, and each following month starts on the same date.

The allocation holds three pieces a month of up to 1,200 words each, interviews of up to 90 minutes in total across them and one round of revisions of each piece. The pieces are drawn from whichever of the three kinds you need that month, and the plan for the month is agreed at its start.

A month is for that month. An unused piece, or unused interview time, does not carry into the next one. A fourth piece in the same month is quoted separately before it is begun.

It renews by invoice and nothing else. There is no standing card authority, no automatic collection and no subscription for you to hunt for and cancel: each month is invoiced, and an invoice is something you choose to pay.

Either of us may end it by writing before the next month begins. Pieces already written or under way in the current month are payable; the month that has not started is not. The terms for stopping mid-month are on Refund & Cancellation.

The one-off packages - Service Page Copy and Customer Case Study - are commissioned a piece at a time and do not renew at all.

Paying

Invoices are in pounds sterling and are payable by bank transfer within the period the invoice states. The figure on the invoice is the figure quoted in your written confirmation.

No payment is taken on this website. There is no basket, no checkout and no card field anywhere on it. Where a payment provider is used for an invoice, the card is entered on that provider's own pages and its details are neither seen nor kept by this business.
