How a commission is placed

Nothing is paid on this website. There is no basket, no checkout and no card field anywhere on it, because the scope of a piece of writing is agreed before it has a price. You send a brief; the subject, the interview and the length are settled; you get the package, the figure and the date in writing; and an invoice follows your acceptance of that.

Payment is by bank transfer against that invoice, in pounds sterling. The turnaround starts once payment has cleared, the interview has taken place and the material you have to confirm has come back.

The figure quoted is the figure invoiced. Nothing is added to it afterwards, and if something would change it - a longer piece, a second interview, a subject that turns out to be two subjects - it is put to you in writing and agreed before the work goes on.

Service Page Copy and Customer Case Study are commissioned one piece at a time, and a second piece is a second commission. The Monthly Content Allocation runs by the month at £1150 a month: it replaces ordering pieces singly rather than sitting on top of them, and the two are never invoiced together for the same piece.

A month’s allocation is for that month. An unused piece or unused interview time does not carry into the next one, which is said here rather than discovered at the end of a quarter. Either side can stop the arrangement before the next month begins, and the terms for that are on Refund & Cancellation.

Anything you spend elsewhere is yours and is not in these figures: your own website, its hosting and its content management system, any stock imagery or software licences you want used, any advertising, and the time your own people spend in the interview.

Questions about scope before you commission anything are welcome by email at contact@seoexpert.space, or through the request form, which writes the brief out for you as you fill it in.

Not sure which package a piece falls into?

Send the brief anyway. The subject, the reader and the length decide it, and you are told which package the work falls into - and what it will cost - before anything is agreed.
